I walked into Love Handle and immediately felt cooler than I actually am. The decor is stylish without trying too hard. The pork belly sandwich arrived and it was massive. Dense, rich, and absolutely worth the price. I needed a nap after. Service was fast and excellent throughout, which surprised me given the crowd. The flavors were stellar, no complaints. This is a place that respects your time and your appetite. I left full, satisfied, and slightly concerned about my cholesterol. I will absolutely be back. Just maybe not tomorrow. Another Broken Egg Cafe knows how to start a day right. The lobster omelette achieved some kind of flavor enlightenment. I was not expecting that. My Champagne Mule paired with it precisely. Our server, Erica, delivered exactly the level of service I wanted. Attentive but not hovering. The coffee was rich and dark. Portions were large. Refills came fast. They even brought free beignets. I felt like I was being bribed. It worked. I left in a state of caffeinated bliss. The only downside was having to go back to my real life.

The Fountain Room feels like a secret. The parlor-like atmosphere is cozy. I felt like I was in someone's upscale living room. The lasagna was worthy of obsession. I am not being dramatic. It was that good. My companion ordered the prime rib. It was cooked perfectly. Medium rare, just as requested. The service was exceptional and thoughtful. They even brought an anniversary dessert gesture. I was not celebrating an anniversary. But I appreciated the effort. It was a nice touch. The whole experience felt special. Ruth's Cafe is a neighborhood spot. It was crowded when I arrived. The kitchen had a crowd. That did not matter. The Florentine Benedict was perfectly executed. The hollandaise was silky. The eggs were poached right. I also had the tomato basil soup. It was silky and comforting. My custom omelette melted in my mouth. Service was fast and attentive. Even with the chaos. I have tried many. This one wins. Service was prompt and hospitable. I never had to chase anyone down. The transition from day to night is seamless. I stayed longer than planned. That is a good sign.
