First off, let me just say that Bette's Place is a hidden gem in Hood River. As soon as I walked in, the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel right at home. And don't even get me started on the food!

Let's start with the cinnamon rolls - they were warm, gooey and had just the right amount of cinnamon. They practically melted in my mouth. Then came the crab skillet, which was a delicious combination of crab meat, eggs, vegetables and cheese served sizzling hot. It was so good that I almost forgot to take notes for this review!

First of all, let me tell you that their food is made from scratch and it shows in the quality of their dishes. I ordered the eggs benedict with homemade hollandaise sauce, and I have to say it was one of the best I've ever had. The dish was perfectly cooked, and the hollandaise sauce was so rich and creamy, it was like a symphony in my mouth.

But what really blew me away was their homemade whipped cream! It's not often that you find whipped cream that's made fresh on site. You could tell the difference in every bite. It was light, fluffy, and just sweet enough to complement my pancakes without overpowering them.
