I’ll admit it: I’ve eaten my way through Southlake’s brunch circuit more times than I can count, and I’m not ashamed. Some weekends you want a five-course seafood spectacle that makes you feel like you’re on vacation, and other weekends you need a pancake that’s bigger than your head.

This town nails both extremes, often within a mile of each other. I’ve got the food coma receipts to prove it.

I walked into Eggsquisite Cafe expecting a standard brunch. I left wondering why I don't live here. The chicken and waffles are the real deal, crispy and sweet in all the right ways. The staff is quick and genuinely sweet. I had a sandwich too, and the variety is solid. The dining room is clean and comfy, which matters more than you think. Nothing fancy, just really well done.
